Decorative item

Just for a change, here is an item with a taste of Holland ; do we really have to say that it comes from a Fokker 27 ?

In fact it is part of the vertical stabilizer on which there is a beautiful insignia in the shape of Pegasus (44.5cm in diameter). This has been delicately drawn and painted and is nothing at all like those rough designs made from stencils that one generally sees in this sort of marking.

It appears that the background here is in black and white, being initially blue and white as one can see in the photo*

underneath. Moreover, this is confirmed by the slight wearing of the white paint through which one can see the original blue paint.

As well as being original, the insignia and the constructor’s markings are in excellent condition!

It is exceptional to have this sort of piece showing the name of the constructor, the type of aircraft and the unit’s insignia, all of it being in perfect condition, correctly cut up and in such a large size (76cm x 134cm) !

Of course it is not part of a fighter, but it is very decorative…
